As a proud member of the Craft in St Lawrence District, I am deeply honoured to have received the trust, encouragement, and overwhelming support from the members of the district in providing me the distinct privilege of representing our Grand Master and St Lawrence District for the upcoming masonic term. Thank you for your confidence, and I look forward to working with you in making this a memorable masonic journey.
Our district membership has a great combination of enthusiastic new masons and seasoned veterans. This mixture of masonic curiosity and wisdom can only support the potential for much growth and success in our district. In contemplating themes, principles, or tenets for this term, I was struck by the values in the Lewis Mason and the ideals and practices held in that tradition, So, I am hoping you will also see merit in using this as our theme for the year. The Lewis Jewel that many of us wear, recognizes the multigenerational presence of masonry in our lives and community. It also represents the need for a collaboration of individual efforts to succeed in a singular goal. Throughout this term, I hope to revisit the value in the cooperation between young and mature masons to affect our true potential for productivity and success within our district and Craft.
The District Project chosen for this term is Senior Support Service (CPHC). As we look to the tradition of the Lewis Mason, it fell upon him to aid and support the previous generation with tasks and challenges that may have become difficult to carry out. This charity supports senior services throughout our region, and I hope you see value in its contributions to our senior citizens’ comfort and dignity in their advancing years.
Again, thank you for your trust and support. I look forward to sharing the year with you and benefiting from any advice or ideas you might have to enhance our masonic community.
Fraternal regards,
R.W. Bro. Robert S. Miller
